Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit my website. My name is Margaret Stefanowicz. I was born and raised in Hungary. I have two adult children and a lovely grandson.
While in Hungary, I attended Kindergarten Teacher Institute. Upon graduating, I began my professional working career as a kindergarten teacher (27 years). During this time I was awarded a Hungarian Ministerial Commendation award in recognition of my teaching excellence.
A short time later, I supplemented my basic diploma with a three year college education at Brunszvik Terez Kindergarten Teacher's Institute of Koros College, graduating with honors.
In 2002 I departed Hungary and moved to the United States. Upon arriving in America, it didn't take me long to realize that American families were struggling with finding ways to best manage their children's behavior. Defiance, misbehaving ways and disobedience appeared ingrained in many children, making their parents lives both stressful and challenging.
It soon became apparent that my overarching goal for Take Charge Parenting, would be to help impart "traditional parenting principles" to parents to ensure a fine balance between true leadership and love for their children.
In the 2017-2018 school year I was employed on a part-time basis at the University League Nursery School (ULNS) in historic Princeton, New Jersey. The ULNS provides care and education for children of ages 2 1/2 years to kindergarten.
I was extremely honored to have been invited to speak at the 2018 International Nanny Conference in Tuscon, AZ. The annual conference is widely recognized and is attended by hundreds of people from around the world who serve in the childcare industry. Attendees ranged from nannies, childcare and development professionals, nanny agency owners and newborn care specialists.
